Interview with Ray Higdon the co-founder of the Higdon Group, a consulting firm that provides training for network marketers. 

What is your company and what is its main goal?

Higdon Group provides training and coaching for home business entrepreneurs at any level, from just starting out to successes. Our goal is to help entrepreneurs achieve financial success through tried and true methods and training relating to acquiring new customers through social media, successful prospecting, branding, follow up, team culture, posture, objection handling and money mindset. 

When did you start your business and why? 

We started our business in 2010 and after creating a successful business realized how many were out there attempting to do the same but needed help and guidance. We now have our main group that is 14,000 people that pay $20 a month for our live daily training as well as our mastermind program.

What makes you different from your competition? 

What sets Higdon Group apart from the competition is that we provide our clients with live daily training, daily action steps, accountability, and proven formulas to help them succeed. We achieve this through a private members-only Facebook group called Rank Makers. Rank Makers is not only a place for daily training and action steps, it is also a source of support, encouragement, and celebration of wins, big or small.

The group has just over 14,000 paying members who encourage each other, ask questions and engage with other like-minded entrepreneurs. In addition, we began a program called Wealth Wednesday, where our members are tasked with doing a random act of kindness involving a financial transaction for a stranger each Wednesday.

Through the Wealth Wednesday initiative, we hope to change the world through good deeds while we change the money mindset of our members so that they understand that the more money you make, the more good you can do in the world.

What marketing channels do you use for your growth?

We use traditional social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, ManyChat) as well as live events and speaking engagements. In October 2019, we will be hosting our largest event to date, Rank Makers Live, in Orlando, Florida. We are expecting 2,500 to 3,000 attendees.

This year we also produced a reality show called Play to Win which can be seen on Facebook, IGTV and YouTube. The premise of the show is that 41 contestants from around the world compete for a chance to win a job with Higdon Group, or a year of coaching. Later this year, we are releasing a Rank Makers app, which will provide members with another avenue to access everything currently available in the private Facebook group.

What are you expected to grow in terms of revenue in the next 12 months?

Our first million-dollar year was 2013, our first million-dollar month was in 2014, and our first million-dollar weekend was in 2015. Last year we came close to $5 million in revenue and this year we are 24.5% above this time last year.
