“I want folks to feel empowered to make their life, other’s lives, and the world a better place. When people lose faith in their own abilities or think the world is against them, this feeling of empowerment is lost. So give it your all. Give to others first. And always give a crap about your work.”
This interview is with William Griggs the founder and CEO of VirtualRealityRental.co.
What is your company and what is its main goal?
As the premier provider of VR technology, we work with corporate meeting planners to provide the best in VR entertainment for events, parties, exhibits, trade shows, and conferences. We leverage the latest VR technology to create unique experiences for event attendees. We also use our extensive experience in marketing and technology to drive home what your event is all about using VR.
This includes team-building exercises, lead generation, or if you just want your attendees to have a really good time, we create a VR event experience that aligns with your goals.
When did you start your business and why?
My interest in business was ignited at a young age. I grew up as a curious kid, which is no surprise because my father was an investigative journalist in the media. In addition to liking business communications, I was fascinated with VR games since the 90’s and the launch of Nintendo’s Virtual Boy captivated me.
I knew that I wanted a business of my own one day, so I examined my passions and found a way to center my business around fun. My studies, life experience, and my love of gaming came together to create VirtualRealityRental.co and we are now helping to transform the VR industry.
What makes you different from your competition?
VirtualRealityRental.co stands out from other technology vendors because we focus on the event attendee experience. We don’t push VR technology on you and your attendees just because it’s cool technology. Instead, our experts work closely with your event coordinator, marketing director, and/or CEO to help you accomplish your specific event goals by leveraging VR at your event.
What marketing channels do you use for your growth?
We are currently investing our marketing dollars in a multi-layered SEO strategy. A great looking website isn’t enough to bring in a steady stream of lead generation so we are investing time and energy into content, user experience, and online public relations. Our modern SEO strategy addresses our business objectives and targets the decision-makers in our audience segments.
What are you expected to grow in terms of revenue in the next 12 months?
In 2019, we are aiming for 153% of our previous year’s revenue and continuing to expand our global presence. We are currently located in every major city within the U.S. and we have our eyes set on expanding in Europe and Asia. We anticipate that the coming year will include a lot of new hires, change, and record-breaking quarters.
