1. Bill Cosby’s Rape Mistrial
Cosby is known for being a stand-up comedian and an actor. Most recognized for his staring role in the Cosby Show from 1984 to 1992. Cosby was charged with drugging and molesting Andrea Constand at his home in Philadelphia in 2004. Multiple women came forth and said that Cosby had done the same to them but this is the only charge against him. When the jury came back deadlocked Cosby’s trial was determined a mistrial and he was free to go.
2. Kathy Griffin/Donald Trump Photo
With Trump being in the headlines daily it can make a lot of people upset. What Kathy Griffin did to make the headline would make anyone sick. Griffin posted a picture of herself holding a look a like head of Donald Trump covered in blood. The moment the picture was published the world was disgusted by her actions. She was dropped by CNN as a co-host to a new years eve special she hosts with Anderson Cooper.
3. Rob Kardashian & Blac Chyna Revenge Porn
Whether you’re a fan of the Kardashian’s or not, they seem to always be in the spotlight. This time it is Rob Kardashian who is all over the headlines. This week Rob took to Twitter and Instagram to blast his ex Blac Chyna for cheating on him with multiple men, abusing drugs, and taking advantage of him financially. Rob posted naked photos of Chyna on Twitter. Kardashian is now potentially facing revenge porn charges.
4. Donald Trump
Everyone knows the name Donald Trump. Now, he is referred to as Mr. President or President Trump even if you like it or not. We can say that his Inauguration into presidency would take this moment but we will have to go with his firing of former FBI director James Comey beats it. Reports say that President Trump fired Comey because of an investigation into whether or not Russia had any efforts in influencing the presidential race.
5. Ja Rule’s Failed Fyre Music Fest
With festival season in full swing a lot of people were excited for a new upcoming festival that promised gourmet meals from top celebrity chefs, luxury living quarters, among other things. But what happened in the end was a complete mess. There ended up being no security, the luxury living quarters were tents used by refugees and a breakfast that made prison food look gourmet.
6. Gronk Being Gronk
At number 6 we have Rob Gronkowski of the New England Patriots and his extravagant bar tab. Gronk and his brothers went to a nightclub in Connecticut and seemed to have a great time. By the end of the night Gronk and his crew ended up spending $102,000 on bottle service, the tab was so high that it made the gratuity scale at the bottom of the receipt misprint. It suggested a $204 tip when in reality it should have been $20,400!
7. Tom Brady Super Bowl Comeback
Tom Brady is known as probably the greatest quarterback to ever play the game. With his Patriots down 28-3 in the third quarter Brady put on his game face and his team put up 25 points to tie the game with less than a minute in the 4th quarter. With the game tied at 28 Brady made the comeback of a lifetime giving the ball to running back James White who ran the ball 2 yards for the touchdown and ultimately winning the game.
8. Jay-Z and Beyonce Become Billionaires
Power couple Jay Z and Beyonce have had a killer year welcoming billionaire status. With Jay having a net worth of $810 million and Beyonce having $350 million in the bank they combine for a whopping $1.16 BILLION. On top of that Jay-Z’s recently released album 4:44 went platinum in a week. What cant this power couple do?
9. Aaron Hernandez
For those of you who don’t know who Aaron Hernandez is he was a former NFL player who played with the New England Patriots and was convicted of murder in 2015 and serving a life sentence. Hernandez committed suicide in his jail cell on April 19th.
10. Kevin Durant & The Golden State Warriors
With the Golden State Warriors coming off a loss to the Cleveland Cavilers last year, they picked up Kevin Durant to make their very own super team. And was it a super team indeed, Durant was a huge part of their success this year helping them win their 2nd title in 3 years.
11. Tiger Woods DUI
Coming in at number 11 we have Tiger Woods being arrested for a DUI. While Tiger is no stranger to the media this is something that we were not expecting to happen. Although there were no traces of alcohol in his system Woods admitted to being on prescription medication.
